TWS—Pinjari

In Pinjari Village, where families have lived for over a decade, The Walkway School (TWS) has transformed lives by addressing critical challenges and fostering hope. Once, over 280 children braved a perilous 4-kilometer journey daily for primary education, facing the threats of wild animals and unforgiving weather. For their parents, every school day was a source of worry and fear. TWS changed this by establishing a school within the village, bringing quality education closer to home and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for learning.

But TWS’s mission didn’t stop at education. Pinjari Village, home to nearly 2,000 residents, struggled with acute water scarcity, forcing families to trek long distances for something as basic as drinking water. TWS stepped in, installing a solar-powered water pump that now provides clean, reliable water. Powered by renewable energy, this intervention has eased daily hardships, improved health, and freed up time for families to focus on other pursuits.

Today, TWS is more than a school—it is the heart of the community. With a dedicated volunteer teacher, it not only offers children the gift of learning but also serves as a venue for workshops on health, hygiene, and community development. These initiatives have brought residents together, fostering a spirit of shared progress.
