Progress On The Walkway Schools In Tharparkar – By Eiman Jokhio

Since The Walkway School decided to expand and continue the organizational venture to a new location, some time has passed. This way it\’s easier to spread throughout the whole area and create an increased amount of influence. Turning an organization such as The Walkway School  into a franchise will create awareness, encouraging more people into sending their kids to school! Last year, we started a total of two facilities in different parts of Tharparkar district (Thar desert): Diplo and Islamkot. 

Tharparkar is an underdeveloped part of the Sindh province, with very little touch with the nearby urbanized cities. These poverty-ridden areas consist of many children in their prime learning years who previously had no such facilities. Now, thanks to The Walkway School’s initiative, even more kids can acquire knowledge and move on to better things in the future.

Both the facilities in Tharparkar are fully operational and provide quality education to underprivileged students. The children are satisfied with the qualified hired teachers and the safe buildings with access to clean energy and water. Students enrolled last year have been moved up to new grades with the start of a new educational session. With almost several hundred enrollments, Walkway Schools in Tharparkar are up and running very effectively!

Considering last year’s progress, the Walkway School took the initiative on to the next level and started its third facility in Village New Dhhilyancho taluka Diplo, Tharparkar. With almost a hundred new enrollments, it is to be up and running very soon!
