About US

From Vision to Impact

The Walkway School (TWS) is a youth-led, youth centered social enterprise focused on tackling the educational crisis in Pakistan’s underserved rural areas. Founded in 2018, TWS is committed to providing free, high-quality education to children facing severe economic and social barriers, helping bridge the gap for Pakistan’s 28 million out-of-school children. Driven by young leaders who believe in the power of education, TWS aims to empower the next generation with skills and opportunities that can break cycles of poverty.

TWS—Diplo

TWS—Kaloi

In the village of Ismail Sangrasi, children faced a daunting challenge: the absence of a proper school building since 1985 left them without access to formal education. Voices of Impact

Omesha Nathuram

TWS Khetlaari

Before this, there was no school in our village, my father didn’t allow me to travel far, being the only girl. I bloomed with the news that my village is getting a school.

Shabnam Kalaram

TWS Jhampo

We recently moved to this village, after the news of the school with a water facility that caters to the village. My family is happy with the decision that we will get an education with ease.

Nirmlaa Bheemon

TWS Jhampo

My brother and I have been going here for the past 3 years. He will graduate and move to another school soon, and it is an hour on foot. I am very happy with our teacher, he involves us in games and we have a lot of fun.

Deewan Kumar

TWS Diplo

My father approached the two years ago (TWS team), and we got books and bags here. I never had a bag before. Last year, they sent us rackets and skipping ropes. I want to be a teacher someday and help many students like me become doctors and engineers.

Walkway is a textbook example of how we reach those in the most vulnerable areas. At its core is the principle of leaving no child behind—saving each one from under-education, one child at a time.

Working alongside the Walkway School has been one of the most humbling and inspiring experiences of my journey in the social impact space. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing Moazzam’s growth—not just as a founder, but as a visionary who continues to unlock opportunities for communities that have long been overlooked. What started as a bold idea led by young people has grown into a beacon of hope for children in rural Pakistan. I’m proud to stand beside this mission and continue cheering them on as they build a more inclusive and equitable future through education.

Heela Yoon

Executive Director AYAPO

As someone who has worked in grassroots spaces for years, I truly believe that initiatives like The Walkway School are not just admirable—they’re essential. This kind of work, rooted in dignity, inclusion, and real community engagement, is exactly what transforms lives. Seeing children taken off the streets and given a future through education is powerful. The Walkway School is doing what many talk about but few actually do: changing systems from the ground up. I’m proud to stand in support of this mission and the team behind it.

Ayesha Amin

Founder Baithak

As someone deeply invested in social justice, I have been truly moved by the work The Walkway School is doing. They are creating access to quality education in remote communities where such opportunities are rare, especially for girls. What stands out to me is their commitment to education and the care and passion with which their team nurtures each student’s confidence, communication, and life skills. It has been a privilege to partner with them through Baithak.
